Der Hersteller schreibt über den Verwendungszweck auf seiner Seite folgendes über das Programm, welches auch in Foobar einbindbar ist:

- (((acourate)))® corrects for loudspeaker-room interaction anomalies in ways speaker designers cannot possibly anticipate. With extensive design and modification one can optimize a room to minimize effects on sound, but generally at great expense. This means realistically one optimizes room-response and layout as far as aesthetics and practicality allow, but the sound falls short of "acoustically correct."
(((acourate)))® allows the user to ascertain the speaker in-room response and correct for the deviation incurred. Further, the program can provide precise individual speaker driver-time-alignment and linearize driver and overall loudspeaker response and then provide compensating real-time correction filters for playback.
(((acourate)))® exceeds usual amplitude correction systems by doing both frequency response and phase response correction (minimum phase and excess phase). Time distortions are minimized. The frequency correction takes into account how the ear receives the sound by applying psychoacoustic principles.
(((acourate)))® is also a powerful tool to flexibly design and implement digital crossovers, and complete subwoofer supported stereo loudspeaker systems.
(((acourate)))® generates appropiate logarithmic sweeps which simply are recorded. This allows to compute the desired pulse responses with an optimum signal-to-noise ratio and without higher harmonic distortions . Then a correction filter is derived which runs during playback in high resolution at real-time, aka the "brute-force" approach. The filter algorithms used are the latest and most sophisticated, and can get frequently updated providing an advantage to to the quickly obsolescent hardware-based solutions.
