Ab 15. Februar muss man um last.fm [auf "mobilen" Playern zu denen laut last.fm Squeezebox, Sonos, alle Handys außer Windowsphones, etc gehören] nutzen zu können, 3€ monatlich für die Nutzung zahlen. Nutzer, die schon länger registriert sind, können noch drei Monate kostenlos hören und danach last.fm ebenfalls abonnieren.

From February 15 you will need to be a subscriber to listen to Last.fm Radio stations on devices, including your Logitech SqueezeNetwork player.

No other features are affected by this change.

In taking this decision, we have given a lot of thought to how this impacts some of our early adopters and long-time users like you. We truly appreciate what you have meant to our growth and success, and offer you the following as a token of our thanks;

A free 3 month subscription to Last.fm
This will start automatically on February 15th 2011. As a result you will continue to be able to use Last.fm as you do today until the end of your subscription. If you'd like to see the other benefits of your free subscription, please visit the subscription page.

War nur eine Frage der Zeit.

Aber ich finde die 3 Euro im Monat sind ein gutes Angebot!

Der größte Rückschritt war, als sie die Full Previews abgeschaltet haben. Und in dieser Richtung geht's halt weiter.

Am genialsten find ich ja, dass auf der Abo-Seite unten gleich alle "wir haben uns ein Abo gekauft"-Nutzer abgebildet werden. Ja, das wird mich in meiner Entscheidung bestärken, kein Abo abzuschließen

Hin und wieder hatte ich schonmal ein Abo, aber ich habe keine Lust mir das so aufzwängen zu lassen. Vielleicht wird's ja irgendwann mal was mit libre.fm

Naja, von irgendwas müssen sie leben.
Am PC kannste Werbung einblenden.
Bei reinen Audioplayern müsste das im Audio-Strom reingequasselt werden.
Dann doch lieber ein paar Euro zahlen.

Absolut gesehen ja keine Unsumme.
Aber für 10 Euro kriegt man auch schon Napster mit 10 Millionen Titeln und wahlfreiem Zugriff darauf.
Und das alles voll und sicher legal.

Und das ist dann wohl auch der springende Punkt... Da hat ein Unternehmen sauviele Kundendaten, die wie man sehen kann [facebook] bei richtiger Spekulation verdammt viel Asche einbringen können, und was macht man: Die Kunden zur Konkurrenz schicken, weil das eigene Angebot dann doch nicht so revolutionär ist, als das man alle Leute bei sich halten kann...

Persönlich nutze ich last.fm ja zum scrobbeln (bin seit Audioscrobbler.com Zeiten dabei) und wegen der Community, weniger wegen Radio. Also soll's mir mal egal sein.
